REVAMPING OF THE FORMING PLANT TO OBTAIN IMPORTANT ENERGY EFFICIENCY, COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF TRANSITION 4.0 AND BETTER CONTROL OF THE PROCESS.
Intervention carried out using PSC funding Special Section ERDF - Veneto Development and Cohesion Plan 14-20 - DGR n. 1510 of 02/11/2021 - Action 311 Call for the provision of contributions aimed at the competitive repositioning of SMEs, supporting investments and promoting digitalisation and circular economy models.
Company competitiveness development project through the revamping of the forming plant to obtain significant energy efficiency, compliance with the requirements of TRANSITION 4.0 and better control of the process.
The implementation of the project made it possible to improve company competitiveness and environmental sustainability through the following actions:
Energy saving thanks to the installation of latest generation electric motors with electronic management of power and torque delivery as well as braking energy recovery.
Production efficiency generated by the automatic electronic repositioning of the movement axes of the forming system, reducing restart times in the event of any stops.
Adaptation of the systems to current regulations on safety in the workplace, obtaining the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EEC certificate and compliance with the requirements of TRANSITION 4.0, thanks to the electronic control with PLC Safety of the management of all the gates with latest generation electric locks access to the molding plant.
Implementation of the MOVICON 11 company SCADA, which allows the constant monitoring of motors and drives necessary for evaluating operation, scheduling maintenance and searching for any faults. Increased and improved data exchange with the company management system for better management of the casting cooling lines.
