The Fonderia Zardo metallurgical laboratory is equipped to guarantee accurate measurements of the material and to quickly transmit information to the production departments.
LABORATORY EQUIPMENT:
OMNI 3 DIGITAL MICROSCOPE:
full HD digital microscope designed for image acquisition with multifocal reconstruction, 2D measurement, image comparison, use of customized gratings and .dxf profiles.
Allows measurement on the image with the mouse as a tracker. Linear measurements, diameters, angles, distances.
THERMO ARL iSpark Series:
optical emission spectrometer for the quantitative analysis of the composition of metallic materials.
LECO ANALYZER CS Series:
exploiting the combustion technique, it is designed for the determination of carbon and sulfur content. The instrument has custom software designed specifically for touch operation.
LEITZ METALLOGRAPH MICROSCOPE LEITZ W/ LEICA:
a microscope that features the customized LAS CAST IRON software for metallographic analysis according to AST 247-ISO 9245-2 JIS G5502 specifications.
GALDABINI TRACTION MACHINE:
instrument equipped with a Strain 10/50 model extensometer, used to determine the tensile strength and deformation behavior up to failure on sample specimens of gray and ductile cast iron.
GSC AUTOMATIC LAND CONTROL:
Land control has always been one of the main objectives to be achieved, to obtain quality production and limit waste to a minimum.
Fonderia Zardo is equipped with an automated GSC sand control system to analyze parameters such as: cohesion, the degree of active bentonite, the degree of total bentonite, permeability and automatic dosing of additives and new sand.
The automatic soil control system manages the operation of the mixer and the dosing of water and additives to obtain quality soil that is constant over time. Results: the use of automatic soil control allows you to obtain a series of advantages in the production cycle:
- Reduction of waste due to the earth
- Reduction in the number of broken brackets
- Improvement of the "skin" of the castings
- Improved mixer performance
- Optimization of the use of additives
