The system works through guided procedures, with well-defined ranges for each type of alloy that the foundry produces. Each procedure runs within a set of parameters, with its own intervals and validity time. The procedure is, essentially, a stock of parameters, relating to the production of the basic cast iron, that the foundry wants to keep under control, to guarantee constant quality of the cast iron during production from one or more furnaces.
ITACA PYRO
The casting process is influenced by several factors that can cause possible casting defects. Pouring temperature is one of these key factors. Monitoring the temperature reduces the possibility of defects such as cold junction, sintering and cementite.
